Bowers & Wilkins is a British manufacturer of sound equipment. It is dominating the market by focusing on premium high-end products.
From a strategic point of view, the high-end premium audio market has little change and has a long product replacement cycle. As a result, Bowers & Wilkins’ profit structure deteriorated due to difficulties in generating new profits. The so-called fashionable and well-selling products were dominated by other brands, We suggested that Bowers & Wilkins make fashionable products like B&O.

I proposed a portable Bluetooth speaker. This product was carried out just before mass production after the equipment design was completed. However, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bowers & Wilkins went bankrupt due to poor management and was suspended just before production. We charged the cost related to mock-up, CMF development, and Packaging design development, but most of the people in charge could not be contacted. Almost all Bowers & Wilkins staff have been replaced through the pandemic. We are still willing to charge Bowers & Wilkins for the design cost because we have not received compensation (Bowers & Wilkins went bankrupt early in the pandemic and is now normalizing).
