Vortex is a portable x-ray system mainly intended for medical emergency situations. Working with Xenex, we created a new design that improves the product’s ergonomics, user interface, and durability.

Having a shell like construction, Vortex has a silicone layered protective skin. Its carefully considered parting lines minimize the chance of the chassis breaking apart, even when taking hard hits. In contrast is the high gloss liquid like face that expresses the technical power of x-ray technology. Lastly, its soft rectangular form ensures confident handling despite the heavy weight, and simplifies the product into an iconic silhouette.
